The Ministry of Transport and Communications in collaboration with its parastatals are hosting an open day from the 24th to the 27th January 2022 in Mahalapye. The open day will be held at Botswana Railways Train Station Grounds besides Mahalapye Police Offices on the set dates from 0900hrs to 1600hrs.
The open day is meant to showcase a range of products and services offered by the various parastatals under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Participating Organisations include BotswanaPost, Botswana Fibre Networks, Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority, Botswana Railways, Air Botswana including Departments such as Central Transport Organisation, Roads Department, Department of Road Transport and Safety, Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services and Government Online.
There will be PosoMoney registration, road safety awareness, video conferencing technology, Government portal, renewal of vehicle licenses and Botswana Annual Permits including professional driving permits. Additionally, there will be public education on Radio licensing, regulation of the postal and communication sectors, subscription for Upictv among other services and programmes.

The open day provides a platform for the Ministry and parastatals which fall under it to increase awareness about the products and services they offer. This will be achieved by bringing services close to the community and to get feedback on areas of improvement for better service delivery.
