YOUR ONE STOP POST

As part of the Live Post Office exhibition at the 2022 Botswana Consumer Fair, BotswanaPost launched its latest commemorative stamp, ‘The Pel's Fishing Owl in Botswana’. The Pel's fishing owl is one of the largest owl species in the world and the biggest of the three types of fishing owl based in Africa. In Botswana, the bird can be found in Tuli Block, Okavango Delta and Linyanti Wildlife Reserve due to the areas’ dense riverine forests and permanent water characteristics.

The stamp is available for purchasing in denominations of P5, P7, P9 and P10 respectively. The Pel's Fishing Owl in Botswana’ stamp was created by two locals namely Kumbulani Thubu and designed by Onica Lekuntwane. Engagement of local creatives is part of BotswanaPosts commitment to support and empower creative artists as we continue to sell themes that showcase Botswana's environment, cultural and historical heritage.
