BotswanaPost Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cornelius Ramatlhakwane hosted The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Honourable Mabuse Mopati Pule and other stakeholders from government and the private sector on the 24th March 2022 for the official opening of the Tumasera Post Office. The Post Office will be offering all services with introduction of new services at a later stage.
The improvements to the Tumasera Post office include:
- Extension of the existing building and partitioning the internal space.
- Removal of existing roof, ceiling and services and installation of the new roof.
- Construction on a new roof canopy Infront of the building as well installing a new veranda slab.
- Construction of a new sewer system and connecting new sanitary facilities.
- Re-configuration of the building to increase the banking hall and introduce a server room, strong room, bathroom, tearoom, CB and a Branch manager’s office.
- Install new secure counters.
- Security enhancement, installation of a new intruder alarm, re-enforcement of the strong room and installation of burglar proof on all openings.
- Enhancement of the general look and feel including branding.
- Installation of a short retaining wall for storm water control.
- Installation of paving for improved access and surface water control
